stool and you have already concluded it as diarrhea, then its better you know
the warning signs of diarrhea first, then reach conclusion and start treating
the disease. So what is the difference between normal watery stool and

When the frequency and
consistency of stools is disturbed, you must know that number of reasons can
cause this disturbance. It could be food allergy, it could be lack of any essential
vitamin or mineral. It could be an effect of medicine. Now loose stool cannot
point at diarrhea but if the child is releasing stool along with throw up then
you should talk to your doctor immediately. During this situation no food even
liquid is difficult to in digest. The digestive system works in worst possible
manner, where food remains mostly undigested and stomach does not suck up
excessive water, so stool turns not only unnecessarily watery but also emit
stench in excessive amount.
Diarrhea symptoms

It’s a fact undeniable, that newborn babies poo
a lot, so seeing their frequent poo if you start worrying that they are symptoms of diarrhea then you are
wrong. You may conclude that your baby is having diarrhea but this poo is
normal for her age, you should take into account how many times your baby is
pooing. Now if the baby is breast fed then frequency of poo will increase now
if the baby is formula fed then there should be proper time for poo. If the newborn baby is breast
fed then the poo turns to be yellowish in color, watery and soft. You may need
to change the nappy at every 30 minutes. Whenever the baby’s belly fills up his
intestine starts reacting and that reaction triggers poo. But in case of formula fed if baby poo is
random with disgusting odor, its definitely not a good sign.

If the baby is having fever and if that reaches
to 102 or 103, if the temperature is not decreasing even after using medicine
then you should really be concerned.

If you
find your child getting droopy and drained of all energy you should talk to
your doctor at the earliest.

When your child is having abdominal pain and
that pain is excruciating you must consult the doctor, when you observe blood
and pus in the stool you should not wait for long. Apart from blood and pus ,if
the child is vomiting as well, you must not leave the state just like that.

When your child is having Diarrhea, you will
find few effects like urinating fewer times, incessant irritability, Lethargy,
Dry mouth, tearless crying, Unusual drowsiness, sunken soft spot on baby’s
head, now when you find all these symptoms you must resort to medication.
What to do during Diarrhea
When the child is having Diarrhea
you should give your child, utmost attention and Oral Rehydration Salts must be
given every now and then. Water is necessary during this stage, food should not
be heavy, you can feed your baby soft boiled rice and if your baby is breastfed
then don’t stop the process.
